Press release translation from Estonian into Russian and English — Kether Translations

PRESS RELEASE TRANSLATION

«A press release
people will actually read»

Translation and adaptation of press releases into Russian and English for Estonian PR agencies and corporate communications.
No literal calques, no stock phrases, no loss of voice.

For 19 years we’ve been translating press releases for Hamburg & Partnerid, Agenda PR, Corpore, Versa Communications, and direct clients — Citadele, Inbank, Bonava. A 14:00 deadline and an embargo are familiar territory.

01
IS THIS FOR YOU? IT IS

If you’re a PR manager or communications director, you’ll know the situation: a strong Estonian press release needs to go out in Russian and English in time for the evening news or the morning edition of the Estonian business press.

Machine translation hands you something lifeless that the journalist sets aside. An ordinary translation bureau agrees to a two-day turnaround and sends back not so much a text as a text-shaped object, losing the images you carefully built along the way.

You come to us because you know how a press release differs from a plain translation — and because a few-hour turnaround is a normal working timeline for us, not a heroic feat.

02
WHAT IS INCLUDED

Five things included in the base rate. Not optional add-ons for an extra fee — our standard way of handling a press release.

03
WHY US

1

We know the rhythm of a PR agency

We’ve been inside the Estonian communications ecosystem for years — we know what «embargo until 10:00» means, what last-minute client sign-off looks like, and we don’t blink when revisions arrive three times in a day.

2

Speed without losing quality

A standard press release can be translated at our regular or rush rate, but we’re also familiar with the «We needed this yesterday» scenario. The quality doesn’t suffer.

3

A second pair of eyes — standard, not an add-on

Anton translates, Lena edits. Or the other way around. The point is that two people work on your text, every time. What larger agencies bill as a separate service, we’ve built into the base price.

A SHORT CASE

«An Estonian PR agency received a press release from its client — a Scandinavian retailer — at 15:20, with a request to deliver Estonian, Russian and English versions by 09:00 the following morning.

The Estonian version was produced on the agency’s side; the Russian and English on ours. We delivered both versions by 21:00 the same evening, along with an internal glossary for future materials from the same client.

The press release went out simultaneously in three languages for the morning news cycle. This is a normal working situation for us, not the exception.»

06
SEND US YOUR PRESS RELEASE

We send back an estimate of volume and turnaround within an hour during business hours (Mon — Fri, 9:30 to 17:00). Just email or call Lena or Anton.
